Final advert design

This is the final design for our advert for Ally Newbigging - 'All at Sea'. We really liked this effect on the image of watercolours because it represents the title and theme of the song and also links in with the painted scenery for our stop motion. The colours create a really warm and summery feeling that you would associate with the beach and the lyrics and perhaps also fond memories from your childhood. We used the same stamp like effect as before because of how striking it is and could become the design mark of our artist.

Similarly to advert 1, we used a drawn effect on the same image of Ally Newbigging for the same reasons as before. However, this time we chose to see what it would look like in black and white. Furthermore, this therefore lead us to choosing a much more striking and large font. We really liked this font and will be using it for our final design. We put the song title in a teal coloured font in the corner to add a much needed but subtle splash of colour to the advert, representing the sea.

We chose to use this photograph because it shows our artist Ally Newbigging looking out to sea, thus linking in with the title of the song we used 'All at Sea'. The fact that Ally is also looking out to sea shows a reflective mood which also links in with the main theme of our video of reflecting on a simple childhood. We chose this effect because it also links in with the child like nature of our video and our hand made scenery and characters for our stop motion. We chose this font because it represents scribbly handwriting, perhaps of a child.

"I first started playing the acoustic guitar about 3 years ago and have performed with it in most of my songs ever since. I usually perform in the surrounding areas of Ipswich, and have had various paid gigs and charity events in Bury! I've written about ten of my own songs, and have been particularly inspired by: Dallas Green, Bon Iver and Ed Sheeran."
